Body Detailer plant based quad milled bath soap bars are 8.8 ounces and very dense, more so than typical store bought soap bars which are usually 4 or 5 ounces and not very dense. While our soaps aren't necessarily twice the overall size in appearance of a 4 ounce bar of soap, they weigh more because there's more soap squeezed into the mold by compressing it over and over again. By making our soap bars this way, they will not shrink nearly as fast in the shower.

What is quad milled and why do we use the process to make our bath soaps?

In soap making terms quad milled is basically making the bar 4 times. Obviously that requires more work but its worth it because of the resulting benefits; here's how it's done. The bars are made and then they are smashed with tons of pressure on a special machine and made again 3 more times the same way to make them more solid. Each time its made its being pressed with tons of pressure to squeeze all the air and bubbles out of it. The final bar is then stamped with our logo and is as dense as soap can be which means it won't dissolve as quickly as regular soap. Most companies will not make soap that way because they want their soap to dissolve faster so you buy it more often. We make all of our soap bars with the quad milled process because it makes a better bath soap. Besides it not shrinking as fast, the quad milled process also makes the bar produce a richer creamier lather. We then make it even better by using natural plant oils and botanical extracts with no harsh surfactants.

The results are absolutely amazing and addicting. Most who try our bath soap bars continue using them because they had no idea soap could be this nice.
